How can i pay for my Safari?

After finding a suitable safari package from Picha Safaris Uganda, confirm your air ticket and date of travel so that we can be able to book the trip permits depending on the safari booked.

Before you pay, it’s helpful to understand where your money goes. The total cost of a safari is usually broken down into these key parts.

  • Permit for Safari Booked (Gorilla Trekking Permit, Chimpanzee Permit etc)
  • Accommodation & Meals.
  • Transport & Guide.
  • Park Entrance & Activities

  • Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfer: This is often the preferred method for large sums due to its security and clear financial trail. Funds usually take 3-5 business days to clear. You will be provided with the operator’s SWIFT details .

  • Secure Online Payment Platforms: Companies often use local secure platforms, similar to PayPal, to process credit and debit card payments securely online. A small handling fee (e.g., 3.5%) may apply .

  • Mobile Money (e.g., M-Pesa): This is a popular and convenient method, especially for local payments or smaller balances

Payment Process

We offer a structured payment plan as below:

  1. Secure Your Trip with a Deposit: To confirm your booking, especially for gorilla trekking, you’ll be asked to make an initial deposit. This deposit is primarily used to immediately purchase your non-refundable trekking permits in your name, as they are limited and sell out months in advance . The deposit is  30% of the total cost plus the full price of the permits .

  2. Make the Final Payment: The remaining balance is typically due about 30 days before your safari begins . This gives the us time to finalize all logistics, like accommodation and vehicle preparation . 

  3. Pay with Confidence: Our company will be transparent about this process and we have a history of reliable service . We provide you with scanned copies of your official permits once they are secured .
